Allah Himself commands us in the Quran:
“Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ ‘O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:53)
And in the story of Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him):
“O my sons! Go and search ˹diligently˺ for Joseph and his brother. And do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah, for no one loses hope in Allah’s mercy except those who have no faith.” (Surah Yusuf 12:87)
No matter how far we feel we’ve strayed, or how heavy our burdens are, Allah’s mercy encompasses everything. He is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem—the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that Allah divided mercy into 100 parts, keeping 99 for Himself to shower upon His servants on the Day of Judgment, while sending down only one part to this world—that single part is what causes all creation to show kindness to one another.
Turn back to Him sincerely, repent, and hold firm to hope. After every hardship comes ease (Surah Ash-Sharh 94:5-6). Allah never abandons those who place their trust in Him.
May Allah fill our hearts with unwavering hope in His infinite mercy. Ameen.
